Center for Creative Industries "Fabrika" presents the curatorial project of the artist Valery Chtak "30.000". Artists participating in the exhibition: Veronika Aktanova, Elina Marusova, Sasha Puchkova, Nikon Filippov, Evgeny Uvarovsky.
About the artists:
Veronika Aktanova (Ishimbay) – artist, film director, author. In her practice, she touches on the topics of corporality, sexuality and their relationship with politics; referring to short-lived materials and images of painful, dying bodies, speaks of vulnerability to reality. The artist is interested in the organization of everyday life and communication between people, the social structure of late capitalism and ways to overcome the disunity and alienation generated by the neoliberal economy. The artist will present images of the rooms of those who want it by reading the artist's announcement on social networks. It was back in 2019, shortly before the pandemic. Subsequently, the guys were locked in these rooms for quarantine. The artist is very responsive to such coincidences. Today, many people do not live in these rooms for various reasons.
Elina Marusova was born and works in Moscow, her main artistic method is small sculpture and painting. The main themes for Elina are freedom and limitations, time and the cyclical nature of life, as well as rethinking scientific data and experiments. Elina graduated from the Surikov Institute in Moscow and Free Workshops of MMOMA, also received additional education in Paris and Munich. Participated in group museum exhibitions: MMOMA, Tretyakov Gallery, Museum of Moscow. Participated in the residence of Nikolai Polissky.
Sasha Puchkova was born in the city of Leninsk at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Graduated from the Institute of Architecture and Design of the Altai State Technical University, the School of Photography and Multimedia. Rodchenko, participant of the WCSCD international curatorial course. She took part in the 6th Ural Biennale of Contemporary Art, created collective and solo projects within the framework of the Garage Digital program of the Garage Museum, participated in exhibitions at the Solyanka Ground, Cube, HSE Art Gallery, international digital and performative projects. The artist works in the genre of artistic fiction. Key topics: the future of the feminine, fantastic cartography of phenomena (biological and digital). As a rule, each fiction exists for the artist for a long time, undergoing internal evolution and converting into a series of works or projects, affecting the personal biography and observations of the artist.
Evgeny Uvarovsky was born in Samara. Since 2005 he has been working with sound. Member of the DPRK group together with Nikolai Ridny and Mikhail Dolyanovsky. The group performed in Kyiv at the 1st International Biennale of Contemporary Art Arsenale 2012. Also in 2012, he was the author of music for the David Ter-Oganyan exhibition at the Mumok Museum in Vienna. Since 2018, he has been working with graphics and painting. In 2020-2021, he attended classes at Avdey Ter-Oganyan's Red Circle school. Participant of the exhibition "Red Circle" in the gallery XL.
Nikon Filippov was born in Moscow. In 2016, he graduated from VGIK. Member of Piranesi Lab since 2015. Participated in exhibitions at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Tsaritsyno, CTI "Fabrika", as well as at the Triennial of Contemporary Graphic Art in 2018 in Novosibirsk. Nikon Filippov will present four works about a world in which the boundary between man, technology and nature has almost blurred. The illustration characters are left without a background, like celluloid films snatched from an animated film.

Valery Chtak is a Russian artist, born in 1981 in Moscow. Since 1998, he attended the Avdey Ter-Oganyan School of Contemporary Art and from 2000 to 2005 was a member of the Radek group, a community of artists, musicians and cultural activists that arose on the basis of the Ter-Oganyan school. Since 2002, Chtak has been regularly participating in group exhibitions in Russia and abroad, implementing personal projects. The artist's works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), the Mark Rothko Art Center (Daugavpils, Latvia), the Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin Foundation (Moscow), as well as in private collections of Pierre Brochet, Andrey Tretyakov, Samir Sabe D'Acre and others.
