About the artists:

Veronika Aktanova (Ishimbay) – artist, film director, author. In her practice, she touches on the topics of corporality, sexuality and their relationship with politics; referring to short-lived materials and images of painful, dying bodies, speaks of vulnerability to reality. The artist is interested in the organization of everyday life and communication between people, the social structure of late capitalism and ways to overcome the disunity and alienation generated by the neoliberal economy. The artist will present images of the rooms of those who want it by reading the artist's announcement on social networks. It was back in 2019, shortly before the pandemic. Subsequently, the guys were locked in these rooms for quarantine. The artist is very responsive to such coincidences. Today, many people do not live in these rooms for various reasons.

Elina Marusova was born and works in Moscow, her main artistic method is small sculpture and painting. The main themes for Elina are freedom and limitations, time and the cyclical nature of life, as well as rethinking scientific data and experiments.
