On January 28, the Center for Creative Industries "Fabrika" invites guests to celebrate it's seventeenth birthday. In the program of the evening: the opening of a new XR-project of the digital residence "Digital AIR", as well as the announcement of the winners of the program "Fabrika Studios. Session VIII.

The celebration will begin with the opening of a new XR project by German curator Theodor Neimark "Drafts Of Ecology: URD" as part of the digital residence "Digital AIR". The purpose of the digital residence "Digital AIR" is to create new international art projects without
connection to the epidemiological situation.

Project curator Theodore Neimark reflects on the theme of "trend" proposed to him by the APXIV group of artists by examining the etymological history of the word and its connection with the ecological concept of nature's cycles.

Viewers will experience an interactive experience in a figurative space that connects the real and the virtual. This experience includes both interaction with installations, photographs and video materials, as well as with other spectator players in the virtual and physical space of the Factory.

Also, at 20.00 in the Finishing Shop there will be an announcement of the winners of the program “Factory workshops. Session VIII” is a competition for artists from 35 to 50 years old. The project, which has already become traditional for the Factory, has been supporting Russian mid-career artists for the eighth year,
that is, those authors who have already left the category of "young artist". The organizers select laureates in several nominations at once, providing an opportunity not only to get a workshop, but also to have their works printed at the Piranesi LAB studio and to present personal exhibitions in the factory halls throughout the year.
