MUSICAL CHILDREN'S THEATER EXPROMT

The Moscow Children's Musical Theater "EXPROMT" under the direction of the People's Artist of Russia Lyudmila IVANOVA has existed since 1990. For more than 20 years, the theater has been introducing young viewers to the works of Russian classics, fairy tales of the peoples of the world and Russian folk tales. The acting troupe consists of both dramatic artists and vocalists who are well acquainted with the skill of the drama actor.
The artistic director of the theater is People's Artist of Russia Lyudmila Ivanova, theater and film actress, author of the libretto and director of many Impromptu performances. From the day it was founded, the composer Viktor FRIEDMAN, Honored Artist of Russia, author of music for several theater performances, has been collaborating with Impromptu.
The peculiarity of "Impromptu" is the original repertoire, unexpected, bold musical and dramatic solutions of works familiar from childhood, a successful combination of various genres. These are the children's musical "Masha's Dreams" and the operetta "Masha and the Bear" based on Russian folk tales; sentimental story "The Tin Soldier" based on the fairy tale by G.-Kh. Andersen to music by E. Grieg; the classic musical of the 80s - "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" by S. Nikitin and V. Berkovsky in a modern arrangement; "Hedgehog in the Fog" based on the fairy tales of Sergei Kozlov; fairy-tale action to the music of F. Schubert "Shoes for Cinderella"; the play "The Mistress of the Copper Mountain" based on the stories of P. Bazhov; "Golden Key" to the music of Italian composers; "Fly-Tsokotuha" based on fairy tales and poems by K. I. Chukovsky; Chinese fairy tale "Magic Tea"; musical "Khavroshechka" based on a Russian folk tale.
"Impromptu" is a family theater. His repertoire includes performances not only for children, but also for their parents: the author's evening n.a. RF L. Ivanova "Pages of Life"; a musical performance based on the stories of A.P. Chekhov "Country Cupids"; the original stage version of the opera "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi; the play "Mother" about the mother of N.V. Gogol based on the memoirs and letters of M.I. Gogol-Yanovskaya; performance-concert "When we return home", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory; "The Invisible Lady" - the classic comedy "cloak and sword" by P. Calderon; "A long time ago" based on the play by A. Gladkov; musical and poetic evening "Winter Evening with Pushkin"; "The Queen of Spades" based on the story by A.S. Pushkin; performance "Fellow Travelers" with songs by Bulat Okudzhava.
All performances are accompanied by live music performed by a small orchestra - this is another pleasant feature of the Impromptu Theater.
The theater closely cooperates with the Studio for Aesthetic Education of Children under the direction of N.A. RF Ludmila Ivanova. Pupils of the Studio master the basics of acting, stage movement, dance, and speech. Some young actors also participate in the performances of the Impromptu Theater.
The theater also actively cooperates with the Children's Art School. V.A. Vatagin. The chief artist of the theater Ivan MILYAEV, Honored Artist of Russia, is the director of this school.
