The Big Cartoon Festival is the largest international animation show in Russia. Every year, the BFM opens in Moscow during the autumn school holidays and takes place in several Russian cities throughout the year. For seven years, almost 3,000 cartoons from all over the world have taken part in the Festival, which have been watched by more than 200,000 people. Numerous foreign directors, Oscar nominees and winners, winners of the Cannes and Berlin prizes, visited the capital and presented their works and animation cultures of their countries at the Festival.

Every year, within the framework of the festival, the “Cartoon Factory” is held - a unique platform for family leisure,
where children are introduced to creativity and the art of animation. The annual charitable program is also extremely important for us, in which we attract dozens of children's funds and many orphanages not only from Moscow, but also from the Moscow region. The most important task of our festival is the formation of an interesting and diverse cultural environment in Russia, therefore our programs are not only filled with the highest examples of animation art, but also creatively designed. We hold exhibitions, master classes, cartoon parties, and our spectators are representatives of student youth from the best metropolitan universities, as well as young professionals with their families.

The festival is supported by the Moscow Government, the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation, as well as with the participation of Russian and foreign companies, embassies, and cultural centers. The festival is open to various forms of cooperation and joint projects in the field of animation.
